SALEM, Mo. (KY3) – A man from Salem has been charged after an extensive investigation of sexual abuse.
Court records show that 47-year-old Brad Nash of Salem has been charged with two counts of first-degree statutory sodomy and one count of second-degree child molestation.
According to the Salem Police Department, two minor girls went to authorities with allegations against Nash. Investigators say the investigation lasted six weeks and ended when authorities searched two areas in Salem where Nash lived.
According to a news release, a search warrant sought to locate electronic media storage and access to areas mentioned in what the girls told authorities. Nash was arrested on December 28.
Nash is also the former Salem mayor, the former head of the Dent County Fire Protection District, and the former Dent County Emergency Management director.
